Rock Sorensen is a practicing attorney who has served on the Boards of several non-profits, including the San Juan Community Theatre.
Rock, his wife Judi Mio and their golden retriever Tabor began exploring the San Juan Islands by boat in the mid-90s, and moved to San Juan Island as full-time residents in 2001. Rock says that dogs have been a part of his life from his earliest memories adding joy, laughter and warmth all along the way… “I’m really not sure if I’ve just been incredibly lucky to have so many great dogs in my life or whether there’s just one really special dog whose beautiful soul keeps coming back to me. All I know for sure is all of my dogs have been the “best dog in the world”.
Rock, Judi, and their Portuguese Water Dog, Gilligan are looking forward to continuing their service to the APS-FH and to help create a self-sustaining organization to find good homes for animals and thereby enrich the lives of both people and pets.
