My story is rather boring. Basically, I am not one to tolerate idleness. Due to the limited ferry sailings, when I transported cats for surgery to Friday Harbor Animal Protection Society from Lopez Island Animal Protection Society, I found myself with many hours to fill while I waited. In the past, I volunteered with an animal shelter in Kent, Washington; spay and neuter clinics in recovery care in Concord, California; and wildlife hospital in Walnut Creek, California working alongside veterinarians- handling many animals across various species. So why not fill those hours assisting the veterinarian and staff at APS-FH during those visits? Seemed like a natural fit. You accepted me!
