I have been visiting the shelter cats for a number of years and it has been very rewarding. The kittens are fun, but some of the older cats really need to be given special attention. They are so appreciative to be touched and talked to.
I always leave the shelter feeling better than when I arrived knowing that I have made a difference with benefits going both ways.
