Cowboy’s Story

When Cowboy arrived at the shelter, he was dirty, frightened and desperately in need of some TLC. He had already been bounced between several shelters, the last where he was on the list to be euthanized, before being flown to San Juan Island as a final effort to save his life. As a dog who clearly had a rough start, he was wary of strangers and difficult to get to know. Nevertheless, the shelter staff and volunteers saw the bright spark that somehow still existed in this extraordinary fellow. After spending almost two years at APS-FH shelter, Cowboy responded to the love, care, and companionship and learned to trust again. Then, he hit the jackpot when adopted by the perfect family for him, where he currently resides with his dog pal, Moose and humans who accep his “quirks” and adore all of him. Bobby’s Story

Bobby arrived at the APS-FH shelter several years ago and immediately claimed the hearts of everyone he met. A true ambassador of goodwill, Bobby took it upon himself to (persistently) put new cats at ease and even made friends with dogs. Bobby soon became the official greeter of the shelter and could be found most days lounging on the reception counter or basking in any lap he could find. Eventually Bobby was adopted and went on to live with a lucky family but not before local artist Jayne Siroshton, immortalized this beloved boy in the beautiful artwork shown on this label.
