Executive Director
Cristin Felso was born in Denver Colorado and lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico before moving to Sonoma Valley California in 1983. She graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1989 and received a certificate in Employment Services from the University of San Francisco, an A.A. degree from Santa Rosa Junior College, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University.
Cristin began her career in nonprofit services at age 18. Since that time, she has held numerous positions with nonprofits including eighteen years at Teen Services Sonoma, where she was founder and Executive Director.
Cristin and her husband Paul moved to Friday Harbor in 2018 to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren and to seek a new adventure. Cristin recognized an opportunity to combine her passion for animals and her experience in nonprofit work at the Animal Protection Society Friday Harbor, where she was appointed as Executive Director in June 2018.
