Diana with a life-long passion for animals brings her gift of photography to APS-FH as our staff photographer helping residents find new homes.

Diana O’Brian before joining the APS-FH worked for 15 years with the Washington state ferries galley, where she met her husband, Jim. Diana is an experienced dog trainer working with her own dog, Lucy who have successfully showed in conformation/tracking/field trials and obedience competitions. Diana also trained and worked her rescued Border collie mix, Sasha, who helps with daily chores on her farm. Growing up in Friday Harbor, Diana credits her love of animals to her mother Wynona, who was also an animal rescuer. Bringing home strays, nursing sick animals back to health. Diana has carried a lifelong passion for the welfare of wildlife as well as domestic animals. Working at the animal shelter is a natural fit for her.
