Katelyn lives on San Juan island with cat her cat duma (and the occasional foster!)
Born in Seattle, she grew up with cats and dogs and has never been without a pet! Katelyn has grown up surrounded by animals big and small. Katelyn spent time in Thailand working with an animal shelter and she fell in love with working as an animal care team member. She has had numerous jobs as a dog walker and pet sitter. Katelyn has also worked at horse sanctuaries and hopes to bring all she has learned about the many different types of animal care positions into her work at APS. During Katelyn’s undergrad she took classes on zoology and animal behavior. Her hobbies include snuggling with her cat, reading, and getting in the ocean for some snorkeling and diving when weather allows! Katelyn is very excited to be learning more about the medical side of APS and joining the adoption team! She is dedicated to the wellbeing of all the animals in our care and finding them their forever homes!
